‘After
Hours’ – Script
SCENE 1
The colouring is old fashioned; a weather shot shows a chilled cloudy day.

No
one is around except from a young girl (Florence) walking along a path of a
school. She is wearing an old-fashioned school dress and swinging her bag.
Point
of view shot of ‘someone’ following her, hand reaches out and grabs shoulder.
The
girl turns round and screams.
The
next shot is of her dead on the ground...
SCENE 2
The
colouring is back to normal as it is the present.
A
school bell rings and shot of students leaving classroom.
Teacher: Your essays are due on Monday, have a
nice weekend!
There
is chatter as the leave the room; one girl is left after everyone has gone.
Teacher:
Don’t forget to close the door behind you Lucy,
bye!
Lucy
smiles and continues to pack away. She notices something move past the
classroom window in the corridor but nothing is there when she looks up.
As
she walks out of the school gates she looks back up at the classroom, a young
girl in an old-fashioned school uniform and a pale face is looking down at her
(Florence). A dramatic noise plays. Lucy is confused and slightly worried but
she continues to exit through the school gates.
SCENE 3
She is next sitting on a train looking out of a window, the window is misty and words form on it showing the directors names. Slow, creepy music is played.

SCENE 4
Lucy walking along her road then she approaches her house. She closes the front door.
(She
calls out)
Lucy: I’m home! Mum! (Pause) Mum? I’m home!
She
looks around but no one is home so she goes up to her bedroom to put her bags
down. Her dog comes in whilst something outside of her window catches her eye.
She sees Florence looking up at her from across the road, the same dramatic
noise is heard.
SCENE 5
Lucy her dog for a walk on a green field opposite her house, you can hear children’s laughter and see them playing around her. A moment later she looks around and there are no children, the dramatic noise plays again. As she goes to cross the road, she looks up at her house and Florence is looking down at her from Lucy’s bedroom window.
SCENE 6
Fast dramatic music plays as Lucy quickly goes to her house and rushes upstairs to her bedroom but no one there. Spooky music plays as she looks around and more credits play.
